Garlic roasted peas, you guys! And they are just as good as they look.
Over the last few months I’ve been focusing on choosing wiser when it comes to snack choices. Beyond your basic fruits and energy bars, I wanted to find an alternative that would not only fill me up, but provide me with healthy benefits as well. These crispy garlic roasted peas have made it so much easier to choose better when cravings hit. I hope this recipe does the same for you!
In the past, I haven’t been a avid fan of peas and never did I ever think they would be something to snack on. However, they are actually filled with tons of benefits. Benefits that all correlate directly to weight loss.
BENEFITS OF PEAS:
- High in Protein + Fiber – This helps manage your weight by keeping you feeling fuller for longer. Fiber also is known for lowering cholesterol levels.
- A Good Source of Iron – Some signs of iron deficiency are feeling tired and a decrease in concentration. If you’re experiencing these things, you may need to start incorporating more iron into your diet.
- Great for your Eyes – Peas are full of Luetin, a nutrient that helps keep the cells in your eyes healthy. Since our bodies cannot produce this nutrient the only source we can get it from is through the food that we eat.

Onto a lined baking sheet, spread out your peas
Bake for 45 minutes or until crispy, stopping every 10 minutes to shake peas around
